Background and goal
3G-CIRS stands for Violence against Healthcare Staff — Critical Incident Reporting System. It is a digital reporting and learning system through which healthcare workers can anonymously report incidents of violence. Violence in healthcare is widespread: studies show that up to 70% of nursing staff are regularly exposed to verbal or physical violence. Most incidents, however, go unreported — out of shame, lack of time or fear of consequences. This is exactly where 3G-CIRS comes in. Through the systematic recording of incidents, patterns can be identified, risk situations recognised, and targeted prevention measures developed. The goal is not to punish perpetrators, but to learn from events to protect all employees.
